Baseball's point spread: almost always a run and a half, with the price doing the work.
The favourite at -1.5 has to win by two or more; the underdog at +1.5 covers by losing by one or winning. Because the spread is fixed, the odds on each side move instead of the number.
get_odds returns each book's run line and the price on both sides, opening and closing from 2024.
The common mistake
One-run games are common, so the run line and the moneyline on the same team price very different outcomes. Do not read one from the other.
